FLAMING CLASSICS: ROSEMARY'S BABY

Queer in its merging of horror and maternal melodrama, ROSEMARY’S BABY takes the concept of witch as outsider in the other direction. As a young mother prepares for her first child she is overcome with a paranoid feeling that someone is out to get her child. Convinced that she lives next to a coven of witches, she must decide what is in the best interest of her child. The film confronts issues of marriage and redefining community, as well as the horror of assimilation.
